Queens Park Arts Centre Update

Following government guidelines on safeguarding measures in relation to coronavirus, Queens Park Arts Centre will be temporarily closed to the public.

As a result of this, several pre-paid performances and workshops will be affected. Given the ambiguity and open-ended nature of this guidance it is impossible to identify how much of our programme will need to be reviewed.

Where possible we will endeavour to postpone events to a new date and offer all ticket holders the opportunity to transfer their booking. Given the wealth of events taking place at the Centre, this will take some time to implement – we appreciate your patience and understanding whilst our staff team work through the current programme to confirm new dates.

As an independent not-for-profit charity, Queens Park Arts Centre relies almost entirely on self-generated income and philanthropic donations. Offering a full refund for every upcoming workshop and performance would be financially destructive for the Centre’s long-term sustainability. We therefore invite those affected by postponed or cancelled events to consider – if able – viewing the cost of their ticket as a donation to support the Centre, in the event they cannot attend a revised date.

We appreciate that the current situation is concerning for all, and all of those who attend workshops, performances, exhibitions and events at the Centre will be affected. It is our aim to both follow government guidance to protect the public, and also to safeguard Queens Park’s long-term operations for future generations.

We will contact all those with bookings in due course. Again we thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these exceptional circumstances.

Kind regards,
Queens Park Arts Centre Team
