The first ever David Bowie statue. Called ‘Earthly Messenger’ and created by sculptor Andrew Sinclair, the life-size sculpture was unveiled by singer-songwriter Howard Jones on 25 March 2018 and resides under the historic Arches in Aylesbury’s market square.
The bronze sculpture features two main figures; Bowie as Ziggy Stardust circa 1973 and again in his 2002 blue suit period. Behind these two main figures are most of the main characters that David portrayed in his long career including references to Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, Ashes to Ashes, Aladdin Sane, Labyrinth, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Life on Mars, Young Americans, The Next Day and Blackstar. Speakers mounted above the life-size statue play a Bowie song on the hour during the day.

Chiltern Trike Tours gives you the opportunity to view the Chilterns and surrounding area in a unique way – with a chauffeured trike experience on Bumblebee, our yellow Boom Trike. Based in Aylesbury, with a variety of tours and pick-up points available around the area. Our trike experiences range from a 2 hour tour to a whole day adventure. Options include:

- Visits to Chiltern small businesses such as distilleries, breweries, vineyards and food manufacturers.

My name is Karim Turner and I’m the Director of Football at this great football club. Our dedicated coaching teams run fun relaxed training sessions for the following age groups:

U7s – 6-7 year-olds
U9s – 8-9 year-olds
U12s – 10-12 year-olds
With the added benefit of a FREE first training session at Mandeville School in Aylesbury which boasts a prime safe private site for your child to train and enjoy their football. There are toilets available on site, all of our coaches are DBS checked and have safeguarding and first aid included.
We are very proud of our achievements at Hale Leys United Football club since 2006 and continue to work hard with the many volunteers at the club to ensure that the success continues into the future.

Queens Park Arts Centre is the creative hub, home and heart of the arts in Aylesbury Vale.
Since opening in 1980 the Centre has developed a programme of over 70 weekly workshops in artistic disciplines such as pottery, needlework, drama, dance, woodwork, jewellery-making, painting & drawing, yoga and much more.
The majority of workshops are drop-in and pay-as-you-go, allowing students the freedom to take part when it suits them. The joy of Queens Park is the opportunity to be creative in your own time and on your own terms, with experienced tutors on hand to advise and instruct as much or as little as you require. All are welcome – complete beginners and experienced hands are invited to use the facilities.
Alongside the weekly workshops there are regular special one-day classes and short courses, exploring such activities as stained glass and blacksmithing. The Centre is also home to the Limelight Theatre, an intimate 120-seater fringe venue offering an affordable, lively programme of live music, comedy and theatre, including some of the best local talent alongside acclaimed acts from all over the country. In recent years the venue has welcomed comedians such as Chris Ramsey, Sean Hughes and Lucy Porter, as well as music from the likes of Phil Beer, Marcus Malone and local legends John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett. The Limelight is home to SDSD as well as in-house storytelling company Unbound, who stage regular theatrical productions, including the hugely-popular Queens Park Pantomime.
Queens Park also houses two gallery spaces displaying exhibitions from local, national and even international artists. Annual events at the Centre include the autumn Art & Craft Fair welcoming the region’s best artists and craftspeople, plus various other festivals and fairs throughout the year.
