Adult Online Art Course: Drawing for Beginners (4-weeks) – Mornings @ Queens Park Arts Centre | England | United Kingdom

4-week course: Fridays 24 Jul – 14 Aug, 10:00am – 11:30am

This is an online class conducted via Zoom. For full terms and conditions, visit www.qpc.org. Places must be booked in advance.

This course will introduce you to beginner drawing techniques- looking at equipment, how to show depth through shading and perspective, and how to draw through identifying shape, form and texture.

This workshop is aimed at beginners to drawing, and art in general, and those looking to improve their drawing skill. Adults (age 15 years +)

Students should bring a selection of pencils (H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B), an A4 sketch pad or regular paper, a rubber, a putty rubber, a pencil sharpener and a ruler.

About the Tutor:

Leila Ward is a Tring-based artist who studied Art and Design at Loughborough University School of Art and Design. She has experimented with different mediums over the years, and particularly likes drawing/ painting animals, and using watercolour, acrylic, and printing techniques. Leila runs the Tring Art Society, and enjoys making art more accessible to others, showing people that anyone can create art.
