Aylesbury town centre’s hugely popular Santa’s Parade is on Sunday 24 November.

The festive parade is made up of local dance groups, professional entertainers, bands, local businesses and organisations – all helping to give Santa a very warm welcome to Aylesbury town for this festive season.

The parade starts at 10.45am at Upper High Street. It will then do a whole loop and a half of Market Square and end up finishing in The Exchange bringing festive cheer upon the town centre. The parade finishes by 11.30am, but the fun doesn’t stop – as there will be a range of activities throughout the town until 3pm. These include a small fun fair, a mouth-watering food court offering a wide range of street food and goodies to eat and drink, and a range of street entertainment.

“The Christmas parade is one of the most popular family events in the town, and we’re delighted to be hosting it again this year. We have lots of exciting professional acts lined up along with local businesses and not-for-profit groups. I’d also encourage visitors to stay in town after the event to do a spot of Christmas shopping at M&S, Next, Boots, Pandora, Accessorize and other stores in the town,” said Diana Fawcett, Aylesbury Town Centre & Regeneration Manager.

Lee Duffy, the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre Director, said: “The theatre team love taking part in Santa’s Parade. The atmosphere is incredible with so many families turning out to line the streets. For us, it’s also a chance for our young ensemble cast to be first introduced to the public! We can’t wait to see Castielli School of Dance and Vivo D’Arte join our principal cast on stage this Christmas. Santa’s Parade is a definite highlight in our festive calendar.”

Please note that there has been an unexpected vacancy in the parade, so if you’re a local business or community group (e.g. Brownies, Scouts) and want to participate, please email Diana Fawcett: dfawcett@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk or call 01296 585880.
