PRESENTED BY ROTARY ROCKS
The long awaited debut of Skamungas at The Limelight – a night not to be missed! If you thought you didn’t like ska and reggae this band might well change your mind, or even your life, with their infectious enthusiasm and unique take on those instantly recognisable ska and reggae standards.
In 2017 some very talented musicians from across the Home Counties came together to do something different. Skamungas was formed and rapidly achieved a great live reputation. With a terrific brass section of trombone and tenor sax, driving drums and bass, rhythmic guitar and keyboards, harmonised backing vocals and a lead vocalist to die for, Skamungas is set to achieve even greater things.
After the gig desert of 2020/21 the band is revitalised and dying to give a little love and do the reggae. Seriously – get your tickets early!!
All proceeds from this event to the Rotary Club of Aylesbury Hundreds Charity Fund supporting local charities and community projects.

“…If I’d closed my eyes, I would have thought it was The Beatles…fantastic!”
Described by The British Beatles Fan club as “definitely not your average Beatles band”, since 2013 The Dung Beatles have carved out a unique reputation for performing the music of The Beatles with authenticity, passion and raw energy to sell-out audiences around the UK. Today, live shows draw on an incredible repertoire of over a hundred songs, including both hits and rarely heard album tracks, that have also made the band popular guests on the BBC.
“A must-see band for all Beatles fans”.
John Verity is the man and musician who is ‘blue to his soul’ and has been one of the most consistent performers on the blues rock circuit for many years in the UK and Europe. This year he is celebrating The 50th Anniversary of the very first appearances of The JV Band in 1970 opening for Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and others in the USA. On returning to the UK he took a somewhat different direction with his time as frontman in Argent before time spent primarily in the studio recording, producing and guesting with, among others, Ringo Starr, The Zombies and Saxon.
John is now consistently ‘back on the road’ with his own band and experiencing a musical renaissance playing to great acclaim for fans across the country.
