Time to go on a tree-top adventure by creating your very own clay woodland hideaway.

Materials:

Your course fee includes 1kg of clay plus a template to work from, which can be collected from QPAC ahead of the course. Clay is easy to clean from surfaces, and is non-toxic.

Materials you will need to have in order to attend the class – easily found in any household:
– Fork
– Small pot (e.g. yogurt pot) to make slip (clay mixed with water)
– Apron
– Teaspoon / stiff paintbrush / old toothbrush
– Newspaper
– Thin knife (doesn’t have to be particularly sharp)
– Mat / old flannel to work on (to cover the table/surface)
– Rolling pin
– 2 old CD/DVD cases to use as measures for rolling
– Pencil / biro

Once the course is finished, you will need to contact QPAC to book a delivery slot to bring the finished piece in for firing.

Working with our lovely copper pack, we will learn how to emboss a beautiful hanging metalwork, using only a nail! Hang indoors, or outside in a tree and watch how it changes. Send it in a letter or save until Christmas.

Materials:

Your course fee includes a bundle of materials needed to complete the class, including a copper sheet, some greyboard, a nail, paperclips and a template. This can be collected from QPAC ahead of the course.

Teen artists and invited to join us for a relaxing and enjoyable online drawing class, where you will learn to draw a poppy flower, with tutor Leila Ward.

Suitable for beginners (aged 13+)

Make sure you have plain paper and a selection of pencil (2HB, HB and B)

About the Tutor:

Leila Ward is a Tring-based artist who studied Art and Design at Loughborough University School of Art and Design. She has experimented with different mediums over the years, and particularly likes drawing/ painting animals, and using watercolour, acrylic, and printing techniques. Leila runs the Tring Art Society, and enjoys making art more accessible to others, showing people that anyone can create art.

Teen artists and invited to join us for an enjoyable and relaxing online workshop where you will learn to paint a lovely colourful floral wreath in watercolour.

Suitable for beginners (aged 13+)

Materials:

For an additional charge of £28 you can purchase a materials bundle, which can be collected from QPAC ahead of the course. The bundle includes:

– Watercolour paint set (including two brushes)
– White gouache
– Watercolour A4 pad
– Masking fluid

Working with our wonderful red clay pack, we will learn how to hand build a beautiful little squirrel to use as feather or flower stand. Using only our hands, a toothpick and a straw, we will add texture and features to bring our little character to life! Through a little hole in the head you could display a tiny heather or flower that you have found.

Materials:

Your course fee includes a bundle of materials needed to complete the class, including a ball of non-toxic red clay, a toothpick and a straw.
