Take part in the Alternative Mix 96 Tour de Vale 2020 this September and raise vital funds for Buckinghamshire based charity WheelPower.
By providing opportunities for disabled children and adults to engage in physical activity, WheelPower transforms lives through sport and by taking on this challenge, so can you!
Unfortunately we are unable to hold the Mix 96 Tour de Vale Bike Ride this year because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. We are really disappointed that we can’t deliver the ride you are familiar with but we hope that isn’t going to stop you taking part in an ‘Alternative Mix 96 Tour de Vale!’. Entry is Free, but you can help us keep disabled people active by making a donation or asking your friends and family to sponsor you to complete your cycling challenge this September.
Please visit our website www.tourdevale.com
If you live in Aylesbury Vale, choose your route, decide when you want to do it, and where you want to start – you can join the route at the nearest point to you and take in all that the Aylesbury Vale and surrounding counties have to offer. You can even choose a day in September when the weather is just perfect for cycling!
Our Tour de Vale Routes –
110k – Advanced Ride for experienced cyclists.
65k – Challenge Ride with a few steep hills.
25k – Fun Ride for all the family.
And if you live further afield, why not challenge yourself to complete an ‘Alternative Mix 96 Tour de Vale’ and set a distance and a route that suits you. Beat your PB, ride with your family and friends (social distancing of course) or pedal from the comfort of your home. It’s entirely up to you!
Once you’re registered, we will send the riders all that you need to know, give you an opportunity to sign up to the new TDV 2020 Facebook Group and support you to set up a fundraising page for your Alternative Mix 96 Tour de Vale.
And we’ll send everyone who completes the challenge and donates or raises over £10 a medal as a thank you for helping us keep disabled people active. Prizes too for the top adult, child and team fundraisers!
Join Aylesbury Town Council at this informal community carol singing event. Where you get to help fill the church to the rafters with traditional Christmas Carols in a very relaxed, warm, friendly atmosphere. Children from a local School Choir along with Caduceus Brass Quintet and Next Stage Choir will lead the carols, with Dez Kay compering the evenings proceedings. We will be serving tea, coffee and hot chocolate with a mince pie or two, courtesy of Tesco Aylesbury 2 Community and the Scouts, whilst raising funds for the Mayor’s charity.
We are thrilled at Marie, from Hand Talking, will be joining us again, providing BSL interpretation for the entire event. So that those with hearing loss, can fully enjoy the event as well.
You and the children can wander round the church whilst enjoying the singing and the entire family can get into the festive spirit with a good old Christmas sing-a-long. Christmas jumpers and festive accessories are very much encouraged.
Please note that this is predominately a standing event, with priority seating available for those in need. No general seating available. Designated wheel chair area with assigned route.
Singing starts at 6pm, doors open at 5:45pm.
