Gather around the stage at this year’s Waterside Festival and be enthralled by an array of performing arts spectacles, showcasing to festival-goers the best of Aylesbury Vale’s talent. On Saturday 14 September, 11am-5.30pm, audiences can suspend disbelief and enter a dizzying world of music and dance, celebrating everything from Bhangra and Indian dance to African drumming and Morris Dancing – all brand new to Waterside Festival this year!
Back by popular demand, music lovers can expect consummate performances from the ever-popular local singer Jacob Cole and the symphonic vocals of the 100-strong Next Stage Choir. Also returning are Vivo D’Arte Theatre School and Aylesbury Rocks with ‘Pulse 626’ and ‘Friends of the Blues’, introducing the stars of tomorrow and bringing the feel-good factor with those favourite singalong classics. From classics to classical, Waterside Festival will be serenaded for the first time this year by the Aylesbury Opera Company. Whatever the genre, unwind from the hubbub of the floating market and waterside activities and enjoy all of the musical variety on offer.
Continuing with home-grown entertainment, Queens Park Arts Centre will be celebrating the return of Aylesbury’s Waterside Festival with the crowd-pleasing Queens Park Jazz group and an exclusive pantomime special, so join them on the day and enjoy the fantastic panto slapstick scene.
