To celebrate World Book Day, tickets for WhizzFizzFest’s fantastic headlining events will be on sale from 12pm today!

Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) is excited for the return of WhizzFizzFest, the eagerly-anticipated family-friendly literary and arts festival taking place in Aylesbury town centre on Saturday 27 June. This year’s festival will welcome Konnie Huq, former favourite BBC Blue Peter presenter and author of the sparkling new Cookie! series, Martin Brown, illustrator of the much-loved Horrible Histories series and author-illustrator of Lesser Spotted Animals, David Melling, creator of the bestselling series Hugless Douglas, as well as a creative, interactive performance inspired by Roald Dahl’s Rotsome & Repulsant Words.

A full day of whizzfizzing fun awaits festival goers, with tickets for the headlining events starting from £3. Tickets are also available for WhizzFizzFest’s family-friendly Brush Party, an exciting chance to get creative with the UK’s ‘Paint and Sip’ experts, Brush Party Ltd. Enjoy this relaxing activity in the stunning walled gardens of Buckinghamshire County Museum. There are three sessions available throughout the day, and tickets include a refreshment from the museum café.

Cllr Paul Irwin, AVDC Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said:

“Don’t miss out on getting your tickets for this year’s fantastic WhizzFizzFest line-up, launched to celebrate World Book Day. The festival is always an exciting day for visitors to Aylesbury town centre – filled with creative, educational and accessible fun for everyone!”
