The War of the Roses

Loading Events

The Wars of the Roses – are you a Lancastrian or a Yorkist? See how Aylesbury decided.

The King’s Head pub in Aylesbury contains a magnificent Great Hall with painted glass windows. These windows date from the 15th century and show Aylesbury’s exciting involvement in the Wars of the Roses. This talk will help introduce you to the Wars of the Roses and the history of the fascinating roundels inside the windows.

This talk will also cover the history and making of the stained glass.

Led by Terry Bloxham of the Bucks Historical Association.

Maximum capacity per session is 15.

If you would like to reserve a space for this talk, please send an email to emily@kingsheadaylesbury.co.uk
