Thursday 12 June – “The mysteries of Yewden Roman villa”
Excavated over 100 years ago, this fascinating site near the Thames, produced some very unusual evidence -dozens of writing implements, industrial scale corn processing facilities, and almost 100 newborn burials. Explore the evidence, and ponder the questions with Brett Thorn, Keeper of Archaeology.
The talk will last approximately 30 minutes and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions after as you relax with your cream tea!
Admission to the Museum for the day is included in the Afternoon Tea.
