The BIG Walk

The Pace Centre is a specialist charity that is committed to supporting children with neurodisabilities. Pace believe in every child’s ability to progress, no matter what challenges they face. Our specialist education and therapy teams work with babies, children, and young people from 0-18. We empower the children and their families so that they can reach their full potential and take their place in the world.

We want every child in the UK with a neurodisability, and their family, to have access to educational and clinical support that is aligned with the Pace approach. To that end, we work very intentionally to share our expertise, to train other providers and practitioners at other mainstream schools and to campaign for better provision.

Our children face challenges with their mobility every day, and we are asking you to do something BIG for Pace on 10th May 2025 and help our children reach their fullest potential.

We’ve chosen a new route this year which includes three BIG distance options for participants to choose from between Dunstable and Wendover. We also have our Superhero Mile at John Colet School. Our Superhero mile is a fun, accessible and sensory walk that is open everyone of all ages and abilities.

Full details can be found on our website listed below.

Taking part in The BIG Walk isn’t just a chance for you to enjoy a lovely day out with your family and friends, but an opportunity for you to support Pace in providing its amazing services to children and young people with neurodisabilities like cerebral palsy. We encourage you to get all your loved ones involved too, whether that’s getting them to sign up as well or running your own fundraiser for them to sponsor you! Your sponsorship doesn’t have to be huge to make a BIG difference. Set up your own page here and start raising money!
