Holy Cow Community Events and Buck Heroes (a Discover Bucks Museum project) are excited to invite you to a very special art workshop to make a sustainable Willow Lanterns as part of the Aylesbury 2023 Festival of Lights Celebration.
Workshop Times
Monday 23 October: 1st session 10am – 12.30pm
Monday 23 October: 2nd session 1.30pm – 4pm
Both sessions are exactly the same.
Suitable for 7+ with lots of parent / carer support.
£5 per participant to cover materials.
- Once the Lanterns have been made, they will need to stay at the Museum to be displayed in the Festival of Light event on 19 November 12pm – 4.15pm at the Museum (more details to come).
- We invite the designers of the lanterns and their families to take part in the Aylesbury Festival of Light Parade on Sunday 19 November 4.30pm-5pm with their lanterns (more details to come) which takes place after the Festival of Light event.
- After the Aylesbury Festival of Light Parade designers of the lanterns will be able to take their lanterns home.
- If families are unable to make the parade date – lanterns can be picked up from Discover Bucks Museum on Monday 20 November (please email Bucksheroes@discoverbucksmuseum.org to pick-up on Monday 20 November) or Tuesday 21 November (please check our opening times here).
