Get creative with funky frames craft workshops, immerse yourself in interactive storytelling sessions, and explore hands-on exhibits and surprises for all ages.

If your children and teens enjoy getting creative there are some exciting craft workshops taking place at Queens Park Arts Centre with pottery, pop art and collage to choose from.

Over at Friars Square Shopping Centre, on Tuesday 18 February, you can meet the friendly dinosaur Tyrannosaurus Rex who will be making appearances, plus you can enjoy prehistoric laughs with the hilarious Pre Hee Men and get creative at a Jurassic craft workshop!

Live shows always bring the feel-good factor and Aylesbury Waterside Theatre will be hosting the big, bold and beautiful musical Hairspray which is back on tour!  If you are looking for some live entertainment for younger children you can also catch a high-energy, interactive, kids’ comedy show for the whole family with Mr Sleepybum!

Out and about there is always fun to be had at Hogshaw Farm and this half term there’s something a little different to entertain the children with their wild cinema adventure.  You can enjoy daily viewings of ‘The Wild Robot’ in the pop-up cinema.

If the great outdoors is for you why not visit College Lake nature reserve. You can enjoy wildlife walks, explore the interactive displays in the visitor centre or take part in one of their special events such as pond dipping.  They are also hosting a wildlife day camp with lots of activities for children to explore and engage in the great outdoors.

Continuing the outdoors theme over at Waddesdon the grounds are open for family days out and there are extra activities to enjoy such as outdoor adventure and craft workshops and a Zoolab trail to discover the animals you can find on site.  For those with a head for heights you might like to zip over to Go Ape at Wendover Woods and enjoy the thrill of rope ladders, treetop crossings and super speedy ziplines!

Back down on the ground perhaps you fancy something a little more relaxing with a steam train ride at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre and if you visit on Sunday 23 February Paddington Bear is paying a visit with the opportunity to meet him at intervals throughout the day!

There are also lots of great entertainment venues in and around Aylesbury such as the Odeon Cinema, Aqua Vale Leisure Centre and a variety of indoor play centres who will be open over half term too and don’t forget our local shops and restaurants who always look forward to welcoming you!
