Aylesbury Town Council launched a new, free-to-use, digital heritage trail in partnership with the popular guided walk app – Trail Tale – in 2023.
The 2.5k walk can be accessed via mobile phones on the app which features more than 140 historic trails across the UK. The informative route is easy to follow and shows areas of history in Aylesbury over the ages through historic photographs, interesting facts and audio clips.
They are now offering a free guided tour version of the trail on a monthly basis, with additional interesting snippets and facts along the way! You can enhance your in-person experience by following along on the digital version:
– Download the free ‘Trail Tale’ app in your phone’s app store.
– Click here to download through the App Store / Click here to download through Google Play
– Open the app and search ‘Aylesbury’.
– Tap the map to start the trail.
Tours are taking place on the following dates:
Tues 29 April, Tues 27 May, Tues 24 June, Tues 29 July and Tues 26 August
Meet at the Clock Tower in Market Square ready to begin your tour. Please arrive from 10:45am for a prompt 11am start.
